Putnam & Menard, PLC represents clients across Vermont on a broad range of legal issues. Our goal is to be accessible, understandable, and responsive to our clients’ specific needs and goals. Every client is different, and we factor our clients’ concerns and circumstances into the services we provide. We represent individuals of all ages, non-profit organizations, municipalities, real estate buyers, sellers, and developers, owners of businesses large and small, and farmers and others whose livelihood turns on Vermont’s land and natural resources. We practice in all of Vermont’s civil and probate courts, in addition to the federal court.
We help clients accomplish everyday transactions such as creating a comprehensive estate plan, buying or selling a home, or supporting an aging family member with their legal needs. We also have the depth of experience and expertise to handle complex matters such as business acquisitions and sales, land use and permitting matters, community governance issues, disputes relating to trusts and probate estates, and general litigation.
All our lawyers and staff are natives of Vermont and reside in Addison and Rutland counties. Our lawyers serve in civic leadership positions, including town planning and zoning boards, non-profits, schools and youth sporting activities, and service organizations in our local communities, such as Rotary.
